            We have learnt about the non-standard units of capacity in the previous class. Here
            we shall learn about the standard units.

            Millilitre

            Small quantities of liquids are measured in millilitres
            (mL). For example, a cup of tea, medicine, a glass
            of water, etc. are measured in mL.


            Litre                                                           50 mL           100 mL           150 mL
            Large quantities of liquids are measured in litres (L). For example, water in a large

            can, a bath tub full of water, a drum of oil, etc. are measured in L.
